We're in the sixth grade, but we're still pretty good. The talent show is in like, march or something. WE will only have four minutes to perform. Also, if you have and ideas for costumes or anything like that, list them. Thanks! : )

I highly suggest you talk to your band instructor or another music instructor. You can't really do stuff like this online very well. Also, you really aren't going to get a trio with flute, clarinet, and trumpet, and I doubt you'll be able to find a trio with a clarinet/flute, trumpet/flute, etc. Your best bet will be to find a simply whole band arrangement and hope the three of you will fill in the parts well enough or just find a bunch of copies of one solo transposed for each of your instrument. You also might be able to find a duet for some of your instruments.

Hi. What about something from a show? Then everyone will know it so this will make it easier to listen to. I was thinking of something like SUMMERTIME (you know how it goes I expect, Summertime and the living is easy, fish are jumping and the cotton is fine) Very good number with some spectacular notes to play for you all. Hope this helps. Good luck with it.
You might not find a trio with that instrumentation. I agree that you should do a piece that everyone knows. Try something with one flute and two clarinet parts. Clarinet and Trumpet are in the same key. Another thing would be to find a clarinet or trumpet trio and transpose the flute part up a key.

Unless you're doing a Disney song, don't do costumes, just dress up really nice, preferrably in Concert Black. If you are doing Disney, dress up like characters in that movie.
There is a book series called "Trios for All" that has all three parts in every book works with any instrumentation. They work quite well while they might be a little challenging at your age, it sounds like you're up to the task.
If you want something straight and easy enough to do with some staging/story/costumes, try a song like "Tis the Gift to Be Simple". If you want something with more swing that you can move your hips to standing in place, add a guitarist or pianist and use a jazz tune that you like. The important thing is to have a decent arrangement, so ask music teachers for help on this. Then, be sure to add a wild twist that makes you sound virtuosic - especially at the end!
