7 raw bananas weighing 3 lbs equals how many grams pealed?

Please show your work and site sources if possible so that I can perform the same calculation for different numbers. For instance, 12 raw bananas weighing 3 lbs would equal less total weight pealed because of the higher peal / pulp ratio for smaller bananas.

If I am interpreting your question correctly then I don't believe you will be able to get an accurate answer. It would take very advanced math and/or scientific experimentation as we really can not determine exactly the peel/pulp ratio changing from larger to smaller bananas. I highly doubt that Yahoo Answers has anyone intelligent enough to answer your question.

All I can tell you is that there is no way mathmatically to do this.

You must conduct an actuall experiment.

Seeing as I do not have the time or the desire to do this for you I will simply write the procedure for you and leave it up to you if you want to find it.

Procedure:

1. Find 7 bananas weighing 3 lbs.(the bananas must be relatively equal in size ie: not 4 large bananas and 3 small ones)

2. Peel one banana and weigh it.

3. Multiply this weight by seven to find the weight of seven peeled bananas in lbs.

4. Convert this weight from lbs to grams.

5. One pound equals 453.59237 grams.(This means that you must multiply your weight in pounds by 453.59237)

The result of step four is your answer. Now was it really worth all that trouble?
